There are two key pieces of information which stipulate the importance of carrying out regular periodic examination – these are the Work at Height Regulations, European Standard EN 365 , BS 7883:2019 and EN 795: 2012/ CEN TS 16415.

These sources of guidance reference that the safety of a system’s users depend on the continued efficiency and durability of the safety equipment, leading on to recommend inspection at suitable intervals, or every 12 months.
